4th Battalion The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment (4 LANCS)

4 LANCS is the North West’s Army Reserve Infantry battalion with units across the North West.  We are paired with our Regular Army sister battalion, 2 LANCS, who are based near Blackpool.  We are a family Regiment, our soldiers predominantly come from the North West and are known as ‘The Lions of England’.  We offer many part time roles that fit around your studies, including medical, HR and Intelligence roles.

The Benefits

  • You will be paid for all activity once you’ve joined, providing a regular income during your studies.
  • Training with 4 LANCS is academic timetable friendly and we can provide employment during academic holidays.  You could earn over £5000 in your first year alone, alongside many benefits, including gaining your driving licence.
  • Service with 4 LANCS is CV enhancing and demonstrates a host of transferable skills and experiences not readily available through other organisations as follows:
  • Overseas training activities to places like USA, Australia, Cyprus, Kenya and Burundai.
  • Adventure training in the UK, with Skiing, mountaineering and rock climbing available amongst other activities.
  • Gaining transferable skills that will help you in your studies and career after university, such as leadership, planning and even learning new languages.
