A message from the University of Cumbria...
Industrial action scheduled for 25 and 26 May 2016
You may be aware that the University & College Union (UCU) has announced a two-day strike on 25 and 26 May as part of a national pay dispute. This means that some academic staff may not be working on those days and that some formal teaching may be affected.
We would like to reassure you that this will not affect you submitting coursework or assignments, and will not impact on any examinations.
Although the industrial action could potentially cause some disruption, the university is making every effort to keep to a minimum any impact on students. We will provide updates on the situation as soon as we are able to. Please keep checking Blackboard (both the homepage and your programme page) and your university email accounts for more information. Information for students will also be shared with the Course Information Point (CIP) should you have any further enquiries.
Your student experience is paramount and we will do everything possible to minimise disruption to your studies.
