UCSU is aware of current concerns regarding progression from students on NMC regulated courses who have outstanding work from the previous year. We would like to stress that any final decision on progression lies with the University Assessment Board which is due to release this information as part of the release of confirmed marks on or before the 16th of September.
UCSU has raised with the University the need for clarity as to if the recent changes by the NMC applies to all students or those starting courses this academic year- this is part of the final decision from the University Assessment Board.

UCSU will be holding an open meeting regarding progression on NMC regulated courses.
The open meeting will take place at 10am on the 17th of September at LG003 (Learning Gateway) at Fusehill Street Campus, and at 12.30pm on the 18th of September at HB011 (Humanities Building) at the Lancaster Campus.

The following UCSU staff will be at this open meeting to support you and provide guidance on what options are open to you depending on the outcome of the University Assessment Board’s Decision.

  • Jawanza Ipyana (Caseworker)
  • Anna Bradley (Student Support and Information Manager)
  • Izaak Koroneos (Academic Officer)
  • Katia Riley (Student Voice Facilitator)

Until the open meeting takes place you are welcome to contact either UCSU or the assessment team (assessment@cumbria.ac.uk) about points of clarity on procedure and processes
