Collection of material from clients and their families

Details Hide[-]

We, at Amy's Care, provide quality care through our social clubs for older adults and those living with demetia. We place emphasis on having fun in a well organised environment. We believe in inclusion and always take our clients out in the afternoon to discover new experiences and rekindle past memories. We make these days count for our clients. Our volunteers find this very rewarding; just talking to clients, sharing a joke or listening to stories and tales. We would like to record these stories and memories for our clients and their families. We are setting up a project called 'Life Stories' and require volunteers to work closely on a one to one basis with specific clients and their families. With the knowledge gained we can then taylor our days to include aspects of clients lives that they have enjoyed and we were simply unaware of. We need volunteers to build a record of a persons life which brings comfort to them and their families before and as memories become vague.
