Amy Kenworthy

Welfare & Support Officer

About Me

Hey, I’m Amy. I’m originally from Accrington (a little mill town in Lancashire) and came to the uni to study Education Studies. I love dogs, Chinese food and a good brew! I got involved with the union through volunteering as a welcome helper, as a course and campus rep, and abroad in Bali. I also volunteered in a prison and was a member of several societies. Now, I’m the Welfare & Support officer for the SU.

My Role

As the welfare and support officer, it is my job to promote healthy living, including, physical, mental and sexual health as well as housing. I work to promote positive well-being across the university including self-care awareness. I am also the chair of the trustee board for the union.

My Priorities for the Year:

  • Ensuring student's health and well-being is at the heart of the SU
  • Running a mental health awareness campaign
  • Promotion of liberation groups
