Whale, Whale, Whale… It’s been a long time hasn’t it? Apologies for the lack of updates, it’s crazy how busy we have been! Let’s backtrack, shall we? I’m obviously going to start with the most exciting news ever!!

It was MOLLY’S BIRTHDAY! We decided to go for a big ol’ walk up a hill and order a dominoes for dinner! :D Then plan plan planing for Reignite Fortnight – a re run of Welcome with the added pleasure of an extra week, which allowed for you to relax and connect with other students. This swiftly lead onto Student Volunteering Week a time for you to see what the Union is able to offer with regards to, you guessed it, VOLUNTEERING!

There has also been a LOT of background work going on…. From herding MP’s for an online Question Time (they are very much like cats, may I add. Lovely people, but very difficult to herd)! To training days (e.g. Welcome Week: Online or On campus and complains procedures: how to deal with students with complaints) AND the Board of Trustees has me helping out on the Unions re-structure – which will enable us to work with the time, man power and resources, to achieve our aims, at the best of our abilities.

Molly and I have got our Events and Activities calendar up and running!! Find out how to access it here. Let us know what you think! As a team project, us officers have also been writing our yearly manifesto – which you will be able to find on our website VERY soon! It gives anyone the opportunity to scrutinise, critique and point us in the best direction to support and represent our members best.
