Well, well, well…

What a week this has been!

 

Last weekend, Lucy, Charlotte, and I were tasked with some last-minute filming so that our faces can reach as many of you as possible! This has been part of our campaign to increase the communication between University staff, the Student Union, and you, the students.

However, not all went to plan… Apparently, attempting to make 5 videos is completely unrealistic and will end in tears. So, we cut it down to the 3 most important ones and cracked on. But this prompted some serious discussions about our workload, how much we have been taking on and whether it’s sustainable – what really hit home, was trying to work out where we could fit in time to address your needs. This led to a decision to cut some things out and start delegating!

Therefore, I am pleased to announce that we will no longer be doing our weekly plan that gets posted on Mondays, as most of it is covered in these articles anyway! This also makes some room for us to be able to post important informational updates throughout the week.

Our new approach to work has meant that I’ve actually had a very productive week! I’ve finally had time to look into the next steps for my campaigns and the logistics – part of this was also recognising that, in the whirlwind of preparing for the start of term, we have actually achieved quite a lot already! I’ve also managed to get more involved in some of the Discord chats and give more time to helping you all, through social media.
