Arts and Crafts Fair - Corporate Health Team - 1st January – 12 noon on Thursday 28th January
An opportunity for staff and students to express their creativity through a medium of their choice. Entries can include all kinds of creative ideas like cake decorations, pottery, traditional crafts, sculptures, photography, paintings, drawings, origami, calligraphy and poetry. All creativity and artistic creations are welcome!
Photos of all entries should be emailed to corporatehealthteam@cumbria.ac.uk by 12 noon on Thursday 28th January 2021. Judging will take place on Friday 29th January.
Participants can submit an entry for more than one category however, they are limited to one entry per category. For more information email corporatehealthteam@cumbria.ac.uk

Join Master Chef Champion Irini for a free cookery course - University of Cumbria - 18:00 – 19:00 - Sign up HERE
From 27 January Irini will be running six weekly sessions on Microsoft Teams, where you will learn how to make tasty, nutritious meals on a budget, and using basic ingredients and equipment. From weeks two to five she will provide a list of ingredients ahead of the session so that you can create one of her dishes in real time to enjoy yourself or share with your flatmates or family. Irini will be live and on hand to help you create your meal. All you need is an internet connection and a laptop or tablet you can bring to your cooking area. The class is suitable for complete beginners as well as those of you who have practiced yoga before. The course will introduce a range of key yoga poses and focus on breathing and learning how to move with the breath. All of which have a powerful effect on flexibility, strength and relaxation.

Think of it as a ‘Keep Fit Class’ for the mind and emotions. It aims to be a fun way to increase wellbeing and feelings of calm, and build resilience skills. The activities draw on strong research that shows how to significantly improve emotional wellbeing and cognitive functioning.

Meet and chill hosted by LGBTQ Network – 19:00 – 20:30
This is an opportunity to meet, talk and have a chilled virtual night together.
There will be some structure to keep conversation going however it is mostly a safe, open space to talk about anything we like.
