POSTING THIS ON BEHALF OF STUDENTS

After attending an event at Cafe Martineau last night we noticed that the juke box was not working and the full main lights were on. Students feel that they should not have to pay for music in a cafe/bar. They don't like that they would have to keep getting up to select a song and change it (if it was working). Students would like a speaker for the venue in which they can connect their own phones / iPods etc. to play music they like and some fairy lights or something to that effect. They believe this will create a more vibrant and cosy atmosphere hopefully encouraging more and more students to attend events here or just come for drinks in an evening.
