The University is supported by NHS Specialist Sexual Health workers who visit our Brampton Road and Fusehill Street campuses once a month.
Fusehill - First Tuesday of each month in the Learning Gateway from 10am till 2pm
Brampton Road - First Friday of each month situated in reception from 10am till 2pm.
These visits provide information and support, free condoms and postal chlamydia test screening kits. The postal chlamydia screening kits are available for you to take away and carry out the test at home and returning it in the FREEPOST envelope provided.
The Solway Clinic Centre for Sexual Health at Hilltop Heights on London Road, Carlisle, CA1 2NS provides free drop-in sessions for sexual health testing, including HIV and STI test provision. The drop-ins run on Mon, Tues, 8.30am - 4pm, Wed 8am -7pm, Thurs & Fri 8.30am - 2pm
Chlamydia screening kits are available online in the Lancaster region at www.best2know.co.uk or from drop-in sessions at the sexual health clinic at Ashton Community Care Centre (contact details below). This enables you to carry out the test at home and simply pop it in any post-box in the freepost envelope provided.
You can visit free drop-in sessions at the Sexual Health Clinic, Ashton Community Care Centre on Pointer Court, Ashton Road, LA1 4JT. They offer free help and support and sexual health testing including HIV and STI testing provision.
The Sexual Health team will be in The Barn in Ambleside between 10am and 2:30pm on the following dates:

The team will be offering information and advice on sexual health services and clinics in the area as well as providing postal chlamydia testing kits which you take away and do the test at home before sending it off in the FREEPOST envelope, they will also be providing contraception.
