Coronavirus

If you are worried about the potential effects of Coronavirus on your studies, degree or award please contact our dedicated response team at studentvoice@cumbria.ac.uk and we will help you with any concerns.

Please ensure you are checking your University email and Blackboard accounts for the most up to date information about your course, assignments, assessments and teaching. Since the 19th March, the University has communicated its intention to wherever possible move learning, teaching and assessment to remote delivery to ensure the safety of students and staff. Details on how this effects you should come from Program Leaders through your student email and Blackboard.

Coronavirus Advice

Updated 20/07/2020:

The government has set out its plan to return life to as near normal as we can, for as many people as we can, as quickly and fairly as possible in order to safeguard livelihoods, but in a way that is safe and continues to protect our NHS.

Stay alert

We can all help control the virus if we all stay alert. This means you must:

  • stay at home as much as possible
  • work from home if you can
  • limit contact with other people
  • keep your distance from people not in your household (2 metres apart where possible)
  • wash your hands regularly

Do not leave home if you or anyone in your household has symptoms.

This guidance applies in England – people in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland should follow the specific rules in those parts of the UK.

If you are in the process of seeking advice on a University process (such as appealing a mark, plagiarism or malpractice, raising a formal complaint) please book a telephone appointment with the UCSU Support Service through the Support tab at the top of the Students' Union website.
