Helping elderly and those living with dementia enjoy life

Details Hide[-]

We, at Amy's Care, provide quality care through our social clubs for older adults and those living with dementia. We place emphasis on having fun in a well organised environment. We believe in inclusion and always take our clients out in the afternoon to discover new experiences and rekindle past memories. We require volunteers to help with making these days count. Our volunteers find it very rewarding just talking to clients, sharing a joke or listening to stories and tales. We also require volunteers to help with the practical issues such as keeping an eye on exits at key times, assisting clients to get int and out of the minibus, making sure they are safe and sitting with clients en route to the afternoon outings. Volunteers are not required to carry out any personal care. All out volunteers are supported by our trained Activity Workers. We require volunteers to help out at our Carlisle club. Keswick Club and Ireby Club.
