I have a suggestion that the scholarship and bursary entitlement should be actually means tested. I haven't qualified for this although I am receiving the minimum amount of universal credit and no housing benefit. Some people who have received this are working or have partners that work, or are receiving a lot more universal credits, some are even receiving an NHS bursary soon and have qualified for this extra money. It does not seem fair that people who receive a lot more money have qualified and received this entitlement than some that are receiving far less.

Hi. Not sure about scholarships, but the NHS bursary is available to all those who can claim the student finance maintenance loan. The maintenance loan is means tested on household income of £25000.

That is if you are doing a medical degree otherwise you don't receive the nhs bursary.
