UCSU Annual Awards Evening: Winners!

On Friday 22nd March University of Cumbria Students Union (UCSU) held its annual Awards & AGM night at Carlisle Station Hotel. Attended by students across the University of Cumbria campuses and academic programmes it saw the UCSU community come together under one roof to recognise and reward those who have positively contributed to the UoC experience this year.

Following the annual AGM in which the members relayed their satisfaction with the direction of the Union the night moved on swiftly to the awards. The winners and runners-up can be found below:

Engage Award

Winner: Netball

Runner up: South Asian Society 

 

Institute of Education, Arts & Society Rep Award

Winner: Oscar Clementson

Runner up: Paul Forsyth

 

Activate Award

Winner: UoC Men's Hockey

Runner Up: The Law Society

 

Institute of Business, Industry & Leadership Rep Award

Winner: Hannah Richie

Runner Up: Ciaran Beauchamp

 

Inspire Award

Winner: The Bushcraft Society

Runner Up: UoC Carlisle Football Team 

 

Activities Officer Special Mention Award

Winner: The Gooseberry Fools Makers Group

 

The Lead Award

Winner: Diaz Jenkins

Runner Up: Ben Powell

 

Institute of Health Rep Award

Winner: Lindsay Jayes

Runner: Adele Taylor

 

Members Choice Award

Winner: Netball

Runner Up: Women's Hockey

 

Institute of Science & Enviroment Rep Award

Winner: Chris Brown

Runner Up: Robin Morton

 

Rep of the Year Award

Winner: Chris Brown

 

 

The rest of the evening consisted of delicious food, dancing and members mingling with others from different campuses.

UCSU would like to say well done to the winners and all nominees and a big thank you for attending the event.

UCSU would also like to thank the staff at the Station Hotel Carlisle for their efforts and involvement in the event.
