At the Ambleside campus, while being relatively close to many things needed in the village, lacks one important thing; a cash machine. If a student wanted to withdraw money whilst on campus for whatever reason, be it for a takeaway while working late or to spend in the barn during lunch, they would have to walk down through the village, withdraw their money, then walk back again. However with the implementation of a cash machine located either at the Charlotte Mason Building or in The Barn, students studying late, or students with a break between lecture who don't have time to walk all the way down through town, will now have the opportunity to withdraw money on campus. Additionally a cash machine on campus in a secure location will have the added security and protection of the university, and be less subject to failures.
