As  mental health students we receive a uniform consisting of 4 sets of tunic and trousers. However, on the majority of placements, ( i am lead to believe) we are required to wear our own clothes (smart/ casual). Would it not make more sense to give students half the number of uniforms and offer a small clothing allowance instead? The uniforms are not cheap and it just seems to make more financial sense for both parties.
