UCSU Ball & Awards 2026

On Friday 13 March 2026, the UCSU Ball & Awards was held at the Station Hotel in Carlisle. This annual event is a chance for UCSU to celebrate the achievements of our members throughout the academic year, while also allowing them to come together and enjoy a night of glitz and glamour on us.

Kicking off the evening, Aidan, Wellbeing Officer, and Kara, Institute Officer, led members through the Annual General Meeting (AGM). During the AGM, members were able to see how Union funding had been spent over the previous academic year and hear a recap of everything the expanded Officer team has achieved so far this year.

Following the AGM, members enjoyed a hot buffet meal and spent some time catching up with friends and making new ones.

The highlight of the night was the awards ceremony, where Aidan and Kara presented members with certificates and trophies in recognition of their achievements. The full list of awards is as follows:

The night finished with a few hours of dancing and singing before the lights came on at 11:30pm. The whole event was a blast, and the Union can’t wait to do it all again next year in Lancaster!

A big shout-out to the staff at the Station Hotel in Carlisle and to the amazing DJ Emmanuel for helping make the night so special.
