On Friday 2nd December the NUS (National Union of Students) will be holding a #LoveSUs day where Students’ Unions across the country will come together to highlight our work and why decision makers need to take student voice seriously.
Last year #LoveSUs was trending on Twitter all day – it would be great to see the same thing happen this year!
Why do we need to encourage love for students’ unions?
In a fast-changing sector student voice is being considered an unaffordable luxury, rather than a core feature of a good education. Those who value student representation need to show it. Let’s make sure everyone knows the value of what students’ unions do across the country, and what UCSU does for you.
How can I get involved?
Get active on social media! Use the hashtag #LoveSUs and share your inspiring stories about UCSU. Did The Panel act on one of your ideas? Has your Student Academic Rep helped introduce a vital change to your course? Share the love and let us know!
