The Big Vote - The Big Result!
From 9:00am, Monday 30th September to 5:00pm, Friday 4th October we asked you to vote in our Big Vote:
Should the Students' Union adopt the proposed democratic structure?
There were two options:
Yes: the democratic structure developed through our democratic review.
No: the way we are now.
Results are as follows:
Total number of votes cast: 927
Yes: 857 (92.4%)
No: 70 (7.6%)
As over 500 students cast their vote and more than two-thirds supported the proposed, the proposal has been successfully approved.
Our new Constitution, Bye-Laws and UCSU Code of Conduct will come into force on Wednesday 1st July 2020. New Sabbatical Officer and Campus Representative positions will be elected in our coming main elections (February/March 2020).
