UCSU Election Results
UCSU ran the Officer Election between the 2nd & 6th of March. The results of which have been counted and verified, and it can now be revealed that the 2026/27 Officer Team will be:
Sabbatical Officers

Wellbeing Lead Officer - Aidan Dawson
Institute Officer - Ligia Villaroya
Part -Time Officers
EDI Officer - Kay Ashton
Online Learner Officer - Thomas Nana Kwantwi
Social Officer- Sabera Begum
Aidan & Haroon have been successfully re-elected and will continue in their roles as Wellbeing Officer & Academic Officer respectively. Ligia will take up her role in July 2026. Kay & Thomas will take up their roles in September 2026.
There will be a By-Election for the Mature Students' Officer. To stand for election, please submit your manifesto w/c April 13th, 2026.
Term-time only (8 hours) | £12.75 per hour
You will ensure students returning to education are not overlooked. You will:

Help create an inclusive environment
Career benefits: Community leadership, advocacy, campaign planning. This position is great for public service and leadership pathways.
