Vote now for your Panel representatives!
The Panel Elections are now open! This is your chance to elect the people who you want to represent you and your views, and make decisions about your student experience. We want ALL students at the University of Cumbria to be represented – wherever you’re based, whatever you’re studying or whatever your interests are.
To make it as easy as possible for you to have your say, we have prepared a quick 5-step guide so that you can check out all of the candidates, make your choices, then cast your votes…
1. Check out all of the candidates and their statements at www.ucsu.me/2016candidates. Who would make the best representative for each position?
2. For every position, take note of who you would like to vote for in 1st position, 2nd, and so on and write it on a piece of paper. If you do not wish to vote for any of the candidates for that position you can choose to ‘Re-open Nominations’.
3. Log into the UCSU website (top right hand corner) www.ucsu.me . Enter your student number as username, and your usual password (the same used for University emails, Blackboard etc).
4. You are now registered and can now take part in voting in Elections & Referenda, join or start a student group and loads more!
5. Have fun voting! Make sure you use your vote in full by voting for all positions and all candidates in order of preference!
We think it’s really important that everyone gets to have their say, and that you can all see how your views shape the student experience at Cumbria. If you’ve got an idea that you would like the newly elected Panel to discuss at their first meeting in November, submit your idea via the website at www.ucsu.me/yourideas, speak to one of the Officer team, or pop your idea into one of the suggestion boxes dotted around each campus site.
Voting is open until 5pm on Tuesday 25th October. Results will be announced on Thursday 27th October.
