BUCS INDIVIDUAL EQUESTRIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012

I currently study at the Fusehill campus in Carlisle and am in my 2nd year studying a BA (hons) in Physical Education. I hope to finish the degree and go onto do a PGCE to eventually become a PE teacher. I first started horse riding when I was 4years old with a Shetland pony called Beau which I still currently own.  I started at my local Pony club branch (West Lancashire Branch) when I was 5 years old and still compete for them now in a variety of disciplines from show jumping and eventing to mounted games. Now with my current horse Joey which I bring to University with me, I started to specialise in British eventing which I am currently competing at Novice Level and working up the levels. Last year I competed for my local riding club at the National Finals in the hunter trails in which our team won and competed in the horse trails were we finished 4th! I competed at the University individual competition for horse riding last year and qualified for the championship which was a great experience, which lead me to do the same this year. I managed to qualify again this year and came 2nd which was subject to just collectives in the Dressage phase.
