Free parking for students and staff (Focusing on Lancaster campus)

I'm curious as to how many people pay to park in the top car park of the Lancaster campus. It slightly annoys me to pay for parking when I watch other people not pay. I do know there is an app so I'm not assuming everyone doesn't pay. As a student I am paying £9,250 a year and I do struggle to pay for little things like this even though I have three other jobs. I can imagine that other people feel the same about this and that possibly there could be some budget set aside to pay for staff and students parking and allow the general public to pay the fees instead.

Absolutely! I just wasn't aware if there was specific UoC car parks for the other campuses!
I park on the car park but have paid for a permit. It would appear I haven’t paid because the permit system is online so only I and parking services can see the permit.
That's understandable, I know about those! I just feel it would be an agreeable thing especially for those who commute and struggle to pay for parking!
I wasn't insinuating that everyone without a ticket doesn't pay, I've just had people say to me that they do not and never had paid. My apologies if it came across otherwise!
