We’re delighted to introduce the newly elected UCSU Campus Representatives for 2024/25. These dedicated students are here to represent and champion your interests across our Ambleside, Lancaster, and Carlisle campuses.

About Campus Representation 

We aim to have 10 Campus Reps, with two representing each of our main campuses. However, due to a low turnout in the recent elections, we will be offering students from our London campus the opportunity to attend EXEC meetings as Volunteer Reps. More information on this will be provided soon. In the meantime, if you have any campus-related issues or suggestions, please reach out to the Campus Activator, Madiha- s2403447@uni.cumbria.ac.uk 

Roles and Responsibilities 

Your Campus Representatives are crucial to shaping student life at our university. Their main roles include: 

  • Advocating for Student Interests: Representing students at EXEC meetings, where strategic decisions impacting the student body are discussed and developed. 

  • Enhancing Student Life: Gathering feedback and acting as a bridge between the student community and university leadership, ensuring students’ voices are heard and considered. 

Current and Ongoing Initiatives 

The Campus Reps are actively engaged in the following: 

  • EXEC Meetings: Regularly attending and contributing to these executive meetings to provide student insights and guide university policies. (Previous EXEC Minutes) 

  • Community Engagement: Supporting initiatives that connect and empower the student body through effective representation and advocacy.
