Fairtrade Fortnight is a fun-filled highlight of the year, when campaigners, businesses, schools and places of worship show their support for the farmers and workers who grow our food in developing countries.
For the past two years at UCSU we have held events raising awareness of Fairtrade and its importance. This year we are continuing the work in order to encourage all our students to learn about and purchase Fairtrade products to ensure farmer and workers who produce food are given a fair price.
This year Fairtrade fortnight runs from 27th February to the 12th March, encouraging you to put Fairtrade in your break! So why not take a break at a Fairtrade tasting, grab a free banana and participate in the colour run?!
To raise awareness, we have various activities you can get involved with on campus- check out the line-up, and make sure to reserve you ticket for the colour run at Brampton road.
