Here are the roles up for grabs: 

 

📚 Academic Officer (Full-Time)

Be the voice of your fellow students! As Academic Officer, you’ll champion student views on everything from teaching and assessments to feedback and support. You’ll work hand-in-hand with university staff and reps to make sure student voices shape the decisions that really matter, improving course quality, academic policies, and the learning experience across all campuses. If you’re passionate about making a real difference in how students learn, this is the role for you!

 

💚 Wellbeing Officer (Full-Time)

Be the champion for student wellbeing! As Wellbeing Officer, you’ll lead campaigns, raise awareness, and make sure the university puts student mental health and support first. You’ll help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive campus where every student feels valued and empowered to get the help they need. If you’re passionate about making a real difference to student lives, this is your role!

 

🏫 Institute Officer (Part-Time)

Be the voice for your institute! As Institute Officer, you’ll work with course reps, staff, and UCSU to make sure student feedback is heard and acted on. You’ll tackle course-specific issues, improve communication between students and academic teams, and make sure everyone in your institute feels supported and represented. If you want to make a real difference in your corner of the university, this is the role for you!

 

🌟 Mature Students Officer (Part-Time)

Stand up for students returning to education! As the Mature Students Officer, you’ll be the voice for mature students, tackling the unique challenges they face and making sure they feel included and supported. You’ll build networks, campaign for accessible services, and help shape a university experience where every mature student can thrive. If you’re ready to make a real difference, this is your role!

 

🌐 Online Learner Officer (Part-Time)

Be the voice for students learning remotely! As Online Learner Officer, you’ll raise the issues that matter, improve access to resources and services, and make sure online learners are fully included in university life. You’ll help build a connected, inclusive community where every distance student feels part of the student experience. If you’re ready to make an impact from anywhere, this is your role!

 

🎉 Social Officer (Part-Time)

Be the life of the student community! As Social Officer, you’ll plan events, campaigns, and activities that bring students together, celebrate uni life, and make sure there’s something for everyone. From on-campus socials to online hangouts, you’ll create fun, inclusive, and memorable experiences that help everyone feel connected. If you love making things happen and bringing people together, this is your role!

 

🌈 EDI Officer (Part-Time)

Be the voice for equality, diversity, and inclusion! As EDI Officer, you’ll champion student voices, raise awareness of key issues, and help create a campus where everyone feels valued, supported, and included. You’ll drive campaigns, influence university decisions, and make sure every student has the opportunity to thrive. If you’re passionate about fairness and making a real difference, this is your role!
